Who we are.
East Block Group’s Directors are Sam Lapworth and Ian Hurnell, supported by experienced service charge accountants, property managers and administrators.
Sam has been managing properties in the Block Sector for more than 16 years, both in the UK and abroad in France. A full Member of the IRPM and Associate RICS Accredited, she has worked for both large and small block managing agents and brings an extensive working knowledge of leasehold management, legislation, health & safety compliance, and CDM Regulations. Whilst Sam has managed all types of properties, including new build developments, she has a particular interest in old and/or listed properties and is experienced in handling heritage planning requirements and of the construction and maintenance methods for properties exceeding 100 years old.
Ian recently entered the Property Management industry in 2020, following a 30-year career in the fire, security and health and Safety sectors, where he was exposed to a host of relevant block management experience. By transferring his skills to East Block Group, he has proved to be an invaluable asset to the company and provided an advantage to enhance its client’s facilities servicing requirements, rarely found at other block managing companies.
